Teens Behind-the-Wheel instruction consists of 14 periods of in-car instruction which includes; 7 periods of actual drive time and 7 periods of observation. GUDS offers this course for teens as required by the Code of Virginia. Student must have learner’s permit daily and pass a final road skills evaluation. To begin instruction students must have complete 40 hours of driving with a parent, legal guardian or licensed driver minimum age of 21 years. Adults Behind-the-Wheel instruction consists of 5 periods of in-car instruction which includes; interstate driving and evening driving. Additional instruction and/or private lessons will be charged at a rate of $65.00 per period.  All BTW instruction begins weekly. Registration: Students must register for behind-the-wheel instruction by visiting the business office located at 2020 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Please bring valid learner’s permit, government issued (state/military) ID. Office hours of operation are Mon-Thurs 9:00AM- 11:00AM and 3:00PM- 6:00PM, Fri & Sat by appointment only. Payments accepted are cash, check (local banks only), money order, or credit card (Visa, Master Card, and Discover). Ask about our government / military discount valid with proper military ID!!! A parent’s signature is required at registration for students enrolling under 18 years of age. All offers must be presented at the time of registration.
